                              1. Overview

                              This Warranty & Faulty Goods Policy explains your rights and H&K Styles’ obligations in relation to product defects, faults, and manufacturing issues.

                              All products sold by H&K Styles are covered by the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which provides automatic consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded.

                              2. Your Rights Under the Australian Consumer Law

                              2.1 Under the ACL (Schedule 2, Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), all consumers are entitled to the following guarantees:

                              • The goods are of acceptable quality, meaning they are safe, durable, free from defects, and perform as expected.

                              • The goods are fit for their intended purpose.

                              • The goods match the description, sample, or demonstration model shown online.

                              • The goods come with clear title and ownership and are free from undisclosed encumbrances.

                              2.2 If a product fails to meet these guarantees, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund, depending on whether the problem is major or minor.

                              2.3 These guarantees apply automatically and in addition to any warranty offered by H&K Styles.

                              3. Warranty Coverage

                              3.1 H&K Styles offers a voluntary manufacturer’s warranty of 30 days from the date of delivery for defects in materials or workmanship.

                              3.2 This warranty covers:

                              • Faulty stitching, zippers, or buttons.

                              • Fabric defects existing at the time of purchase.

                              • Damage occurring under normal use that is not caused by customer negligence.

                              3.3 This warranty does not cover:

                              • Normal wear and tear.

                              • Fading or pilling from washing or exposure.

                              • Accidental damage, misuse, or failure to follow care instructions.

                              • Alterations or repairs made by third parties.

                              • Loss or damage during transit after delivery.

                              4. Making a Warranty Claim

                              4.1 To make a warranty or faulty goods claim, please contact our Customer Care team at info.styles@handkstyles.com with:

                              • Your full name and order number.

                              • Description of the issue; and

                              • Clear photos or videos of the fault.

                              4.2 Our team will assess your claim and may request the product’s return for inspection.

                              4.3 If the item is deemed faulty under the ACL or our warranty:

                              • We will cover return postage costs, and

                              • Provide a repair, replacement, or refund, depending on the circumstances.

                              4.4 If the item is not found to be faulty, we will notify you and offer to return the product at your expense.

                              5. Major vs. Minor Faults

                              5.1 A major fault exists when:

                              • The product is significantly different from what was described.

                              • The product is unsafe or unfit for normal use; or

                              • A reasonable customer would not have purchased it knowing the fault.

                              → In such cases, you may choose between a refund or replacement.

                              5.2 A minor fault is a small defect that can be repaired within a reasonable time.

                              → We will offer a repair or replacement and only provide a refund if the issue cannot be rectified within a reasonable timeframe.

                              6. Repair, Replacement, or Refund

                              6.1 Where a fault is confirmed, H&K Styles will act promptly to provide one of the following remedies:

                              • Repair: Free of charge using original or equivalent materials.

                              • Replacement: Same product or equivalent if unavailable.

                              • Refund: Full amount paid, including shipping if the product was faulty on arrival.

                              6.2 Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of approval.

                              6.3 If a replacement is not available (for example, a limited-edition item), store credit or a full refund may be offered.

                              7. Return of Faulty Items

                              7.1 Customers must securely package faulty items to avoid damage in transit.

                              7.2 For approved warranty returns, H&K Styles will provide a prepaid shipping label or refund reasonable postage costs.

                              7.3 Returned items must be sent within 7 days of approval of the claim.

                              8. Record-Keeping & Legal Retention

                              8.1 Under Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) s286, we must retain warranty and transaction records for 7 years.

                              8.2 All warranty claims, and correspondence are stored securely and handled in compliance with our Privacy Policy and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

                              8.3 Customers are encouraged to retain proof of purchase and warranty documentation for their records.

                              9. International Customers

                              9.1 For customers outside Australia (e.g. NZ, UK, USA), warranty claims follow the same process and assessment criteria.

                              9.2 The customer is responsible for initial return postage; if the fault is confirmed, H&K Styles will reimburse reasonable shipping costs.

                              9.3 Cross-border delivery times for repairs or replacements may vary based on customs and carrier processing.

                              10. Limitations of Liability

                              10.1 Nothing in this Policy excludes your statutory rights under the ACL.

                              10.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, H&K Styles’ liability is limited to:

                              • Repair, replacement, or refund of the product; or

                              • The minimum compensation required under law.

                              10.3 H&K Styles is not responsible for consequential loss, indirect damages, or claims arising from misuse or neglect of the goods.
