1. Our Commitment

At H&K Styles, we want you to love every item you purchase. If something isn’t quite right, our Returns Policy ensures a fair, transparent process in compliance with Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and New South Wales Fair Trading standards.

This policy applies to all purchases made through our online store at www.handkstyles.com

2. Eligibility for Returns

You may return eligible items if the following conditions are met:

  • Items are returned within 7 days of receiving your order.
  • Items are unworn, unwashed, and unused, with original tags, packaging, and labels intact.
  • Returns must include proof of purchase (invoice, receipt, or order confirmation).
  • Items must not be damaged, altered, or show signs of wear.

Returns that do not meet these criteria may not be accepted or may be returned to the customer at their expense.

3. Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene and safety reasons, certain products cannot be returned unless faulty or misdescribed:

  • Underwear bottoms, lingerie, or intimates
  • Swimwear (where hygiene seals are removed)
  • Gift cards or store credits
  • Final Sale items — products discounted by 50% or more are Final Sale and are not eligible for return or exchange, except where required under Australian Consumer Law

4. Refunds, Exchanges & Store Credit

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method once the returned item has been received and inspected.
  • Exchanges are available for size or colour, subject to stock availability.
  • If a replacement item is unavailable, a store credit may be offered at our discretion.
  • Refunds exclude original shipping fees, unless the return is due to a faulty or incorrect item.

Refunds typically take 5–10 business days to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider.

5. Faulty or Misdescribed Items

You are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if an item is faulty, not fit for purpose, or not as described, in accordance with your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2, Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)).

If a fault occurs after a reasonable period, please contact us with photographs and details of the issue so we can assess the claim.

Where a Product is found to be faulty:

  • We will cover the return postage cost, and
  • Offer a full refund, repair, or replacement depending on the nature of the fault.

6. How to Return

  1. Submit a return request via our website: www.handkstyles.com/returns.
  2. Wait for confirmation and return instructions from our customer service team.
  3. Package items securely, including your proof of purchase and order number.
  4. Post items to the return address provided.

Return postage for change-of-mind returns is at the customer’s expense, unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

7. Record Keeping & Legal Retention

Under Australian Consumer Law and Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) s286, we are legally required to keep accurate records of transactions and returns for at least 7 years.

Your return information (including name, order details, and correspondence) may be securely retained for warranty, compliance, and accounting purposes.

All personal data will be managed according to our Privacy Policy and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and will be destroyed or de-identified when no longer required by law.

8. International Returns

For customers outside Australia, returns are accepted under the same eligibility terms.

International customers are responsible for shipping costs and any applicable customs duties or taxes, except for faulty or misdescribed items.

We recommend using a tracked shipping service for international returns.
